Baby's due date is set

Baby Trenton will be here on Monday, October the 5th. "Why Monday?" I asked. "Cuz the Dr. said so." said my daughter via text message. We got the apartment and sign the contract on Friday.

This is my first entry into this blog. I will add other things i've written and other events that have take place and put them in the cronological order as time goes on, backdating them and such.
I wanted to start posting on here because as I have read and surfed to learn as much as i can about SUA babies, I havern't found much at all on what to expect and how the babies are after they are born.
The what to expect was mostly the Cromosonal and Congential defects. I think we have passed those worries for the most part, none have been found and ive read alot that if they weren't found in sonograms they probably won't find anything once he is born.
However, he did have a battle and that was to grow.
His daddy is a small framed man with long arms and legs, and so is Trenton. I call him my little froggie ever since I seen him in the sonogram at 20 weeks.
So that is the delima we have been dealing with for the last few weeks. His tummy quit growing, and after further monitoring, he himself slowed down his growing.
Physically he is at the very bottom of the growth chart and is only the size of a 33 week old gestation rather than a 36 week like he should be at.
At this point we started planning for a preemie.

I let my mom take Jackie to the Dr. today. Even with my superstition, it isn't affected by my mom taking her. Same o same o, non stress test and sonogram and then see the Dr. and get the news. Nothing new or suprising ever happens when i'm there, it happens when i'm not there. But like i wrote, it doesn't happen with my mom either.

Long story short, everytime I didn't go with her she got bad news.
First time was when she learned the baby has a single umbilical artery SUA. (which is why he is so small)
Second time was when she learned the baby had quit growing. (this is something they expected to occur, and the reason she had multiple sonograms, but hoped it wouldn't.)
Third time she ended up in the hospital and they told her she was going to have to have the baby in a week.
(sad part about that is I was only parking the car).

I got today's updates via text message while i'm at work.
"On our way to Dr."
"Sono time"
"He's not behaving"
"On stress test, almost done"
"Havin baby next monday!"
"Cuz the doc said so" ( I asked, why monday)
"Might have c section cervix isn't ready"

I might add here that I learned she was pregnant via text message while I was at work. She sent me a picture of her preg test that was positive. Her dad got a T-shirt.

I didn't know they would be setting the date today but I had an idea that it might happen. They are going to induce labor on sunday and if the cervix doesn't ripen by monday morning they will just do a C-section to prevent any further stress on the baby.

Based upon the sonogram today, he's at 4lbs 12oz. normal weight would be at the least 6lbs. Considering 3 weeks ago he was at 3lbs 11oz
The Dr. at the high risk baby's office said they can grow him faster outside the womb at this point.

I gave her the news today after i learned that we get to sign the lease on the apartment friday. It will take every bit of my check to pay the deposit and rent. I'm hoping i won't have to pay a deposit to get the light's turned on too.
So this weekend I'll be scrambling to get as much as I can into the apartment and set up before Monday get's here..
It's not like the baby will be comming home for awhile but we can prepare everything as if he was just in case, we aren't ready to settle for that yet, not until he get's here. From what iv'e read he may not be home for at least 10 days.

I'm starting to get tired and Dave is wanting some cuddle time,
We have been pulling 11 hour shifts since last week, he finished out with 67 last week and I only at 42 and that was without friday.
I'll post more tomorow to try to get as much as i can as the week progresses.
BTW yes you can come help us get moved in. Fri night sat and sunday.
And probably monday, I seriously doubt i'll be there however.
